Amanda, Hope, Joe & Ryan, in the DIO ROOM
This page is for the fans that I have yet to meet on the road that want to know a little about me.Your probably thinking why is he writing about himself? My reason for doing so is havent you ever looked at a page on the web and wondered to yourself what kind of guy the author of the site might be,what makes he or she want to devote so much time into a particular hobby? Well here it goes for those of you that arent interested please return back from where you came and continue surfing my site, hope you enjoy your time here.My name is Joe Rollins, I live in a small town in central Kentucky, I dont consider myself to be the biggest Ronnie James Dio fan in the world, only the biggest fan here in Kentucky. But hey I could be wrong, who knows. The DIO journey began for me when I was around 16 years old,a friend of mine gave me a cassette copy of Holy Diver. I was immediately captivated with the cover art,and what was to be heard was magic to my ears. I later met my soon to be wife Hope in high school and now we have been married for almost 12 years. We have two children, Ryan is 8 and our little girl Amanda is 5. My wife and I have witnessed the magic of Ronnie's live shows several times and have had the pleasure of meeting a true gentleman. The feeling you get when you know Ronnie is getting ready to grace the stage is unbeleiveable and hard to describe to those that dont understand. Making every fan feel important,as though it's his honor to play for you instead of the other way around. We have saw Ronnie wait outside in freezing cold temperatures for hours to greet his awaiting fans after a show. Always thanking them for coming out and spending a little time with each and every fan. How many bands are willing to do that these days? This attitude is what makes fans dedicate their time and sometimes their money to create fan sites in his honor. Wanting to drive or fly hundreds of miles away from a place they call home, when others think your crazy. Wanting to introduce new fans to the magic that is DIO is what these kind of sites are all about. We dont consider ourselves groupies only dedicated fans wanting to repay what Ronnie has given us for so many years. For this reason we will continue in our pursuit to keep the magic alive well into the future. Hope to see old friends as well as make new friends on the road, see you there.
